About Us

DC's Ultimate Sports Conditioning Class

BODY RECONDITION is DC's ultimate sports conditioning and core classes. Our Philosophy is simple; we aim to provide each athlete with the most comprehensive training program available that takes place in a supportive, structured environment. We pride ourselves in our ability to teach, motivate, inspire and help our clients unleash their full potential.

This is done by using planned training progressions designed to help each athlete reach their goal, and to do it with a highly reduced chance of injury and a greatly increased chance of self confidence.  This is accomplished by addressing the following areas in our training system:

  • Myofascial release (massage techniques)
  • Dynamic Warm-up
  • Speed/Agility/Power Development
  • Core Development
  • Dynamic Balance
  • Joint Stability/Integrity
  • Athletic Strength Development
  • Static Flexibility / Regeneration

The goals of class are to achieve measurable improvements in the following areas:

  • Cardiovascular endurance or V02Max
  • Speed and agility 
  • Body composition

Testing is performed in each of these three areas at the beginning and end of the training mesocycle. In minimizing the "guess work," we maximize the results that each person realizes by the end of the cycle.

The continuing retention of Body Recondition clients and further growth is a result of the adherence to the same science that is used to train the most elite athletes. Steeped in the principles of periodization, the class is designed to gradually intensify or progressively overload in a number of different variables in order to ensure success. Although the class is constructed to become increasingly more challenging, ultimately the intensity in which one trains is left to that individual to determine. We recommend using the perceived exertion scale as a guide in measuring your intensity level. As a result, the class works for people of all different fitness levels. However, Body Recondition is not for everyone so we require health histories and, if applicable, medical clearance from a physician for each client.
